In 2023, we marked 40 years of being committed to wild places where nature, people and communities have the freedom to thrive. As part of our celebration we invited artists across the UK, from all disciplines, to submit artwork that showed us what 'freedom for wild places' meant to them. 

Around 400 people responded, before our selection panel of professional artists chose the best entries to be included in this exhibition with the overall favourite entry awarded an artist in residence opportunity in collaboration with the John Muir Trust
